A roll-off dumpster is a large rectangular container made of welded steel with an open top. This heavy-duty dumpster is typically used for big projects and cleanouts. Roll-offs are also commonly used for waste produced at factories, offices, hospitals, and schools. The container gets it’s name because it is designed to be transported on special roll-off trucks. Upon delivery the truck will roll the dumpster off the back and place it in your desired location.

Front-load dumpsters are made with slots on each side to allow the dump truck to load the container from the front. These dump trucks have prongs on the front that get inserted into the slots on the container to lift the dumpster overhead. These dumpsters are made of heavy welded steel with high density polyethylene lids.

A compactor is an industrial machine that is placed within a large container to compact loose waste within the container. Most commonly compactors are used for large business that produce a high volume of daily waste. Other areas we generally service compactors are hospitals, schools, an anywhere there is high volume of waste being produced regularly. Compactors are only available for business (permanent) services.

If you have a full dumpster but you are not through with your waste removal needs. Please call us to request a swap at (781) 924-1847. Once we receive your call we will send a driver to pick up your full dumpster and place an empty dumpster in its place.

West Point Waste currently only offers container rental. Trash cans for curbside pick-up are not offered at this time.

For safety reasons, a number of items including hazardous waste, paint, and other flammable liquids should never be disposed of in our containers. In addition, some items such as tires, TV’s, mattresses etc. are not allowed to be disposed of in our containers. These restrictions apply to all customers unless contract states otherwise. If any excluded items are found in container customer will be charged an additional fee.

Safety is important to our crew and customers. Please follow our safety rules listed below to ensure a safe environment for delivery, rental period, and removal of our containers.

Safety Rules:

• Clean area around dumpster several times during the day
• Clear any tripping hazards
• Do not enter the dumpster
• Never move or compress trash with your hands, feet, or body
• Use caution when placing contents into container
• Watch hand and body placement and potential pinch or strain points
• Be mindful of weather conditions
• Secure lightweight items to prevent fly-aways
• Do not place liquid or hazardous material in dumpster
• Never fight a dumpster fire, please notify your local Fire Department immediately
• Do not remove animals or pests, please call your local animal control
